One of Muvhango’s oldest serving cast members Elsie Rasalanavho is leaving the popular SABC 2 telenovela.
Rasalanavho played the role of of Vho-Mukondeleli on the show. The news was announced at the soapie’s 25th birthday celebration in Auckland Park on 7 April 2022.
The actress revealed that it was a difficult journey for her since she used to be a teacher. She would teach during the week and act on weekends.
She would take the bus on Fridays to Johannesburg and again on Sundays as she returned to the school.
Elsie thanked her colleagues, executive producers and the production house for supporting her.
She went further to say that she will miss her co-actresses Eunice Mabeta (Vho-Makhadzi) and Regina Nesengani (Vho-Masindi) who were closest to her.
