Former Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane has officially became Africa’s highest paid coach.

Mosimane signed a two year contract extension at Al Ahly. The new deal will see the South African born coach earning R2.5 million a month.

Multiple sources revealed that no coach in Africa is earning more than R2.5 million. The second highest paid is Jesualdo Ferreira who coaches Zamalek.

Mosimane joined the Egyptian giants in October 2020. Mosimane has enabled Al Ahly to win back to back Champions league titles.

In addition they also won two CAF Super Cups, the Egypt Cup and two Club World Cup bronze medal.
