Oscar Pistorius is heading to court to get clarity over his parole hearing process.

The 35-year-old former athlete seeks to find out why the process to engage late Reeva Steenkamp’s parents stopped.

The Correctional Services department even transferred Pistorius from Kgosi Mampuru II Correctional Centre in Tshwane to a prison in Gqeberha last November, to get him closer to the family in order for the so-called “victim-offender dialogue” to begin.

But nothing has happened.

His lawyers have now said they have “no option” but to go to court over the stalled parole hearing process.
