An Indian businessman was kidnapped yesterday in the morning in Lenasia. Yaseen Bhiku was returning from a Mosque when the kidnapping happened.
In a video that has gone viral on social media, Yaseen was approached by four gun wielding man who forcibly grabbed him before speeding off in a Mercedes Benz SUV.
The motive behind the kidnapping is still not yet known.
Kidnapping has become rampant in South Africa, in November last year the Moti family had to pay R50 million for the return of their four sons who had been Kidnapped at gun point while going to school in Polokwane.
Last week authorities rescued an eleven year old girl who was kidnapped in November outside a primary school in Mayfair, Johannesburg. She was snatched outside the school gate and a waiting vehicle sped away with her.
