The body of 19 year old student, Matshepo Cleo Malefane was found hanging on a tree near her home on 5 January.
Family members said it does not make sense that she killed herself.
Her brother, Lebohang, told the Daily Sun Newspaper that he got a call from their mother on Monday night that Matshepo went to the outside toilet and never came back.
Lebohang said the next morning, they went to Matshepo ‘s boyfriend’ s house and found her watching TV with him.
Lebohang said he was upset because she made them worry and told the boyfriend to take her home.
Matshepo ‘s other brother, Kamohelo said four hours later she had still not arrived home and they went back to the boyfriend’ s house and did not find them. Her boyfriend ‘s phone was no longer reachable.
They later got hold of the boyfriend who insisted that he had walked her home.
The next day, Matshepo was found hanging in the bushes near her home with her feet on the ground.
