The community of Lesedi Park in Limpopo is in shock after a local lawyer, Adv Lawrence Tleane (32), ran over his girlfriend, Tumi Seshoene (23), with his Mercedes Benz during an argument.
Tumi Seshoene died at the scene.
Tumi’s sister, Faith Nkoana, told the Sowetan newspaper that she got a call that her sister was lying on the street.
She found Tumi bleeding with serious injuries all over her body. Faith said Tumi has recently told her she was having problems in her relationship with Tleane.
Neighbors said Tumi and Tleane had a heated argument at their home gate, during which Tleane jumped into his car and knocked down Tumi, dragging her under the car for a distance.
A vigil was held for Tumi by relatives neighbors and friends.
Tleane appeared in court on Friday and will be back in court again this week for a bail application.
