King Zwelithini passed on this year leaving behind six wives and twenty-three children. His third wife who was Queen regent, Queen Mantfombi Dlamini Zulu passed away just a month after the King’s death.
Zwelithini’s youngest wife Queen Zola Mafu got married to the Zulu King when she was just 17 years old. She was taken from Swaziland during a reed dance.
She didn’t even finish her matric and just after a year she gave birth to their first son. Now that Zwelithini is no more some people are saying the young Queen must remarry.
However the sixth Queen is said to be still living in the royal house. Some are saying she is afraid of losing King Zwelithini’s inheritance if she leaves.
The wives and children are supposed to share the estate and there has been fighting over the King’s inheritance and previously the first Queen demanded 50 percent of the estate.
