On the 12th of November winners of the Crown Gospel Music Awards were announced. Below is a list of those who walked away with awards.

Best Songwriter was scooped by Takie Ndou, Best Itende by Indumiso Ye Tende, Best Album by Takie Ndou, Classic Of All Times by Tebs Davids for You Are Faithful.

Best Worship Song was won by Xolisa Kwinana for Sithi Bayede, Best Praise Song by Sbu Banda for Papa God of Miracles, Best Male Artist by Ayanda Ntanzi and Best Female Artist by Thobekile Mkhwanazi.

Best Newcomer award was won by Xolly Mncwango, Best Group by Umlazi Gospel Choir, Best Traditional by Godfrey Mahlangu, Best a cappella by Abakhethwa Gospel Singers and Best Clap and Tap by Tshidi Chauke.

Best DVD was won by Tshwane Gospel Choir, Best Producer by Nqubeko Mbatha, Best Engineer by Job Thako, Best Of Africa Janet Manyowa from Zimbabwe and Best Gospel Jazz Song by Bra Bushi for Akukho Okunye.

Best Collaboration was worn by Ian Calf featuring Thinah Zungu, Best Contemporary Song by Shaun P for Jesus Cantre, Best Music video by Crystal Tryon for Vuka Ukhanye and Best Rap by Melisa Sibaya.

Best Community Outreach was won by De Bruin, Best Community Show by Kuyenzeka by Abraham Shiyane of Zibonele FM, Best Commercial Radio Show by Rorisang of Motsweding FM and Best AmaZion by Fellowship of God’s Ministries.

The winners for Best Gospel Artist and Best Gospel Song are expected to be announced during the broadcast of the show on the 28th of November on SABC 2.
