According to eNCA News, last month ex-policewoman Rosemary Ndlovu was convicted of the murder of her six relatives. Madala Homu, Brilliant Mashego, Mayeni Mashaba, Zanele Motha, Audrey Ndlovu, and her boyfriend Maurice Mabasa.

Judge Ramarumo Monama handed the sentence today at the Gauteng High Court, sitting in Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court.  Rosemary Ndlovu was sentenced to life imprisonment for the murders.

On top of that she was sentenced to 10 years in jail on each of the four counts of fraud. She defrauded Assupol, One Life Insurance, Old Mutual and Clientele Limited.

Ndlovu was sentenced to 10 years in prison for each count of incitement to commit murder as there is evidence that she plotted to have her sister Joyce and Joyce’s five children murdered.

Ten years was added for the attempted murder of her mother Maria Mushwana.

In addition the judge slapped her with an additional 5 years behind bars for defeating the ends of justice after she tempered with the murder scene of her victim.

She allegedly plotted the murders in order to cash in on insurance payments. It is believed that Rosemary Ndlovu claimed over R1.4 million from the insurance companies.

Rosemary Ndlovu told the court that she accepted the Judge’s decision and has made peace with the Court’s decision. She also revealed that she is not angry with anyone.

Rosemary Nomia Ndlovu who was crying in court told the judge that the reason why she was crying was because all the people who passed on were her relatives and family and that she loved them.

She also told the court that she holds no grudge to the investigating officer. Rosemary said she is not angry at him as he was just doing his job.
