City Press reports that Academy Award winning actress Terry Pheto is refusing to pay back over R500 000 that she owes a Johannesburg businessman, Lesley Kekana since 2017.
Kekana ‘ company, Greenbean learning Resources, has now taken Pheto and her business partner, Mampho Brescia, to court.
The newspaper said Kekana had an agreement to supply Terry and Mampho with stock which they would sell on Takealot through their company, Let’s Learn Toys.
However, after selling the stock, Terry and Mampho disappeared and refused to pay for the goods amounting to over R500 000.
Terry is disputing the validity of the agreement in court documents filed by her lawyers.
The matter is yet to be set down.
