Daily Sun reported that former Ukhozi FM presenter, Ngizwe Mchunu appeared at the Randburg Magistrate Court yesterday the 21st of October 2021.
What left many shocked was his all female security bodyguards. Mchunu appeared at the court with four bodyguards all heavily armed.
Mchunu appeared on charges of incitement to commit public violence and contravention of the Disaster Management Act. His case was posted to January 2022.
Mchunu is former President Jacob Zuma’s supporter and he was pointed as the instigator in the violence that rocked KwaZuluNatal and Gauteng provinces as protesters demanded Zuma’s release.
When asked if he would plead guilty to the charges, Mchunu said, ” Absolutely not. I will never be guilty. This is my country, I love it so much and I’m here to protect it.”
The former presenter sang praises to the justice system in South Africa. He said he would be still in jail if it were up to the people who arrested him.
