Actress Khanyi Mbau willl not be returning for season 2 of Abomama. The Mzansi Magic drama centres on Godly women who are living in a world of organised crime.
Khanyi Mbau shared that her plate was too full with other projects. She said her projects clashed with her schedule and her contract would not allow her to be on another set.
The project she may be referring to is Netflix romcom Happiness Ever After. Her character Tshidi will now be played by Khabonina Qubeka.
This is not the first time that Khabonina has taken a role that Khanyi Mbau was playing. Fifteen years ago Khabonina took over the role of Doopsie which had been played by Khanyi first.
Khanyi shared her confidence in Khabonina killing the role. Khabonina has also landed herself a gig on Generations: The Legacy.
