Award winning creator, director and actor Mandla N. might have missed the mark with his new telenovela DiepCity. It is a new telenovela that replaced Isibaya on Mzansi Magic.
It follows the lives of four women pushed into crime whilst still in high school in a bid to make ends meet.
The four women are portrayed by Zikhona Bali, Kgaogelo Monama, Nompumelelo Vilakazi and Nozuko Ncayiyane.
Despite only airing for a month, some viewers had already had enough of it. The soapie is yet to reach its 30th episode and viewers are fed up already, bored and asking for Isibaya.
The irony is that these are the same viewers who complained about Isibaya having lost its touch but it seems they will take back Isibaya any day than Mzansi Magic’s new offering.
Like everything there are plenty of people who are enjoying the new soapie.
