Transgender woman, Yaya Mavundla this afternoon confronted popular YouTuber McG and Sol Phenduka for their ignorance over LGBT issues.
This follows the announcement this week by Old Mutual who stopped funding the McG podcast of their use of terms such as shem_mal_e and Man with a d_i_ck which were used by the two during their show.
Yaya said the pair broke the first rule of communication, as they spoke about something they know nothing about.
Yaya confronted McG over his past incidents of hate against LGBT. She revealed that she was aware that McG was fired from YFM over similar incident.
Yaya said she can not say McG is not homophobic and although she hates it when people lose work, she believes the universe is punishing the pair for their past actions.
She said it’s not correct to say a trans woman is a man and there is so much hate in South Africa for trans people.
McG and Sol and his whole team will be going on diversity training this weekend.
