Media personality Katlego Maboe may be given another chance to change his past judging by the overwhelming support he is receiving from fans across the country.
This former Outsurance presenter could be gracing our small screens again after the BringBackKatlegoMaboe petition received just under 74 600 signatures and still counting.
The petition was launched by Lindy Kamahlobo in October just days after cheating and abuse allegations were levelled against him by his estranged wife Monique Muller.
In her petition she urged Mzansi to rally behind the star and pressure Outsurance and SABC to reverse their decisions of removing Maboe off air.
She said Maboe was human and although she does not condone his behaviour the matter is not for the public thus South Africans will boycott Outsurance if he is not brought back.
Muller accused Maboe of giving her an STD. Maboe admitted in a video that he had an affair with Nikita Murray, a former Outsurance employee.
Shortly afterwards, Maboe was suspended from SABC 3’s Expresso show and Outsurance announced the removal of all his tv adverts.
Fans expressed their feelings on social media saying it was unfair that Maboe had to lose his job due to his private affairs.
Fans are wondering if Elana Afrika has replaced Maboe on Outsurance saying they would rather have Katlego Maboe back.
