Former Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Brilliant Khuzwayo appeared in court today to answer to counter assault charges levelled against him.

Khuzwayo is alleged to have had an altercation with three students at Mangosuthu University of Technology where he was supposed to give an address.

The former keeper laid charges against the students after he was stabbed during the altercation. The students laid counter assault charges against Khuzwayo.

Talking outside the court in Umlazi, Khuzwayo said he was at MUT to inspire other children and not to fight.

One of the students Mbasa Mantenetya, accused Khuzwayo of stabbing him with a knife. Brilliant Khuzwayo might get arrested if found guilty.

The matter was postponed to Tuesday next week by the Umlazi Court in Durban.
