Popular South African designer, David Tlale will be launching his new, low cost range at his Melrose Arch store today,11 October 2020.
The exotic summer collection is a collaboration between Tlale and Avon and includes items such as watches, bags, and kaftans.
Tlale told Adele Koolen YouTube Channel that although his brand, Epony-mous, is aspirational, he is introducing affordable luxury as a way of achieving growth.
The Sowetan Newspaper reported that the range will cost between, R399 and R799, which Tlale says was inspired by the Xibelani (Tsonga Skirt).
The Newspaper revealed that Tlale’s collections normally cater for the rixj and Famous, with a skirt going for as much as R18 000.
Tlale said women who sell Avon products normally start from nothing, and end up with beautiful homes and cars. This is why he partnered with Avon on the new range.
Tlale has opened two flagship stores in Melrose Arch and in Ribonville Botiquie hotel at Waterfall.
