Musician Lungisa Xhamela from Idols SA recently went down memory lane and opened up about a dark time in his life.
Lungisa’s career began five years ago when he was a contestant on Idols SA. Lungisa reflected on a time he went from riches to rugs because he had no gigs to support himself.
Without financial support Lungisa said he lost everything that he owned including his apartment in Sandton. He moved and went to live in a backroom in Soweto.
Lungisa is a rising star who recently won the Best RnB and Soul Album at this year’s SAMA’s. He said at one point he was selling his album from the boot of his car.
He revealed that God sustained him because he never went to bed hungry and his car always had fuel. Lungisa never lost faith and he kept on praying until he was back on his feet.
