Sunday World reports that Basic Education Minister, Angie Motshekga , was forced to report her sonĀ  Kabelo, to the police after he damaged five of her cars at their Midrand home.

The Minister told police that Kabelo was high on illegal substances.

She told police to investigate a white VW polo whose occupants are supplying Kabelo with the illegal substances.

Upon checking Kabelo’s cottage, she said she discovered dagga cakes and various other illegal substances.

The minister said she had to call police on Kabelo on several occasions when his behavior suddenly changes and he goes from happy to sad instantly.

Kabelo has since appeared in court but the minister later withdrew the charges against him.
