Warren Masemola is an award winning South African actor . The 37 year old is using his baldness condition as his unique selling point in the entertainment industry.

Warren’s baldness is not a disease but it’s a condition called Alopecia Areata. While many use their dreadlocks, braids or blonde hair to get recognition, Warren is using his baldness.

Alopecia is the sudden loss of hair that starts with one or more circular bald patches that may overlap. This occurs when the immune system attacks hair follicles and may be brought on by severe stress.

Warren revealed this in an interview with Drum Magazine. He shared that being bald was an issue for him growing up. He was diagnosed with Alopecia at the age of six.

He was stigmatised as a young boy as most people and other children were not aware of such a condition. When he was in Grade 7, his father passed away, however his mother remained as his strength.

The 37 year old actor has been recognised for his excellent work in the entertainment industry. He has so far won man awards for Best actor in South Africa.
