Kaizer Chiefs soccer star Bernard Parker re-lives the 2010 FIFA World Cup which was hosted by South Africa. The 2010 FIFA World Cup hosted in South Africa goes down in history as the first to be hosted on African soil.

Bernard Parker reveals how blessed he feels to have been part of such a historical world sporting event. He gives the account of events starting from the 11th of June 2020 when the opening ceremony of the World Cup was held in Johannesburg.

The 34 year old midfielder/striker confessed how he slept visualising the 12th of June when South Africa was going to play the opening game of the tournament.

Parker described songs, the colours on the streets, the flags, the new stadiums and happy faces as unforgettable scenes. The soccer star was part of the South African National team (Bafana Bafana).

He gave the account of how great and exciting it felt to play with International teams. He also described this as a great experience. Parker also revealed that playing alongside Siphiwe Tshabalala, Teko Modise and Steven Pienaar in the world cup was a dream come true.

He concluded by saying he is glad that he is part of such an amazing moment and history in South Africa.
