Menzi Ngubane is a veteran actor from South Africa. He was born in Lady Smith, KwaZulu-Natal. He is turning 56 years old on the 4th of September this year.

Ngubane has been in the entertainment industry for over 30 years. His big break came back in 1987 when he showcased his talent in the local TV series KwakhalaNyonini.

This year he celebrates 33 years in the entertainment industry. With this said the actor has been nominated on several occasions and has also won many awards which is evidence that he is one of the greatest actors in South Africa.

Menzi Ngubane survived Kidney failure. He was hospitalised for three weeks and was later put on dialysis. He was on a kidney transplant waiting list from 2010 to 2015.

Ngubane also worked with American actor Samuel L. Jackson in 2014 on a South African film called ‘My Country’. His father turned 90 years old this year. Menzi and his wife threw a birthday party for him in Lady Smith.

He also mentors young men through his mentorship program called Twelve Auspicious Gentlemen with Menzi Ngubane. Ngubane got married for the second time in 2018 this time to Sikelelo Sishuba.
