Percy Tau’s Football Career | Then Vs Now

Percy Tau is a South African football player who was born on the 13th of May 1994. He currently plys his trade in Belgium where he plays for Club Brugge on loan from English side Brighton and Hove.

Percy Tau began his career with Premier Soccer League side Mamelodi Sundowns. He made his debut appearance for Sundowns on the 25th of February in 2014 against Orlando Pirates.

He was later loaned to Witbank Spurs the following year. He went back to Mamelodi Sundowns and during the 2017/18 season, he scored eleven goals to help Mamelodi win the League title.

During the same season he won the Top Goal Scorer Award and PSL Player of the Season. On 28 July 2018, he was signed by English Premier League side Brighton and Hove Albion at a cost of 50 million pounds.

On the 15th of August 2018, Tau joined Belgian second division side Union SG on loan. He scored 6 goals for the club and went on to win the player of the season award.

On the 29th of July 2019, Tau signed for the Belgian side Club Brugge on loan for the 2019/20 season. He has so far scored 8 goals for Club Brugge.
