The outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic and the subsequent lockdown has left many with no food, jobs, money and even homes.
The privileged have stretched their hands to help and among them is multi-talented Somizi Mhlongo and his husband Mohale.
The Metro Fm presenter extended a helping hand by giving away R500 to the first ten people to inbox him on Twitter after posting about it. The post read:
His comments section was flooded with messages when people saw the post.
A lot of people complained about his personal DM which was blocked as they kept pleading for help, posting their problems and even their phone numbers.
Somizi urged them to follow the Somhale Foundation and keep their eyes open for the next time as this was not their first and last time.
