David Tlale has failed to deliver prizes worth more than R500 000 to a competition winner.

Sunday Sun reports that Koketso Moraba, who won Tlale’s SABC3 reality show, the Intern, has taken Tlale to court for breach of contract.

The prizes included a Mercedes Benz, R200 000 cash, a designer studio with equipment, and an opportunity to work as Tlale’s assistant.

Tlale confirmed that the car has not been delivered, but said the studio has been built and they were paying rent for Koketso.

Tlale said the lockdown has made the situation difficult for him.

This is not the first time that Tlale has been accused of failing to pay a competition winner for the same show.

The SABC had to intervene in the past after another contestant did not receive her promised prizes.
