South African rapper AKA recently revealed that he never got paid by Reebok after the success of their sneaker deal. No royalties were given to him for his signature sneakers know as SneAKA.
AKA recently revealed on social media that he was actually broke. In a series of tweets he posted: He said, “Don’t let anybody tell you otherwise, I am broke”.
The rapper said he was very broke, he did not even have money and could barely afford to buy petrol.
A tweep told AKA to be careful of things he wish for. In response, AKA said he was not wishing for anything, the reality is that he is broke and is financially struggling.
The ‘Fela In Versace’ hitmaker is no longer the ambassador of the Reebok brand as their deal was terminated last year. Many other celebrities including Sophie Lichaba and Minnie Dlamini have come out saying the lockdown was making the lives of those in the entertainment industry difficult.
