Twitter has been abuzz with angry South Africans demanding justice for Andile”Bobo” Mchunu after a video of him being abused went viral.
The #JusticeForBobo has been retweeted more than 20 000 times with people across South Africa including celebrities demanding the relevant authorities to take swift action.
The 16 year old Grade 12 pupil went missing last week at his home town Tongaat in KwaZulu-Natal province.
It is claimed that “Bobo” was being accused of stealing alcohol and money from a local bottle store in the area.
This week a video of “Bobo” lying in blood went viral on social media. The young teenager has been brutally beaten and could barely sit on his own. His tormenters could be seen abusing him.
Andile Bobo Mchunu died most probably due to loss of blood. His dead body was found in Newtown river in Tongaat. Celebrities including Somizi Mhlongo had joined in demanding justice for Andile Bobo Mchunu.
Meanwhile four suspects have been arrested in connection with the gruesome murder of Andile Bobo Mchunu. The liquor store that belonged to one of the suspects has since been set ablaze by angry masses.
