Former South African president Jacob Zuma has revealed that his party ANC compromised it’s principles because of money which was being used to buy votes at conferences.

Zuma was talking to his son Duduzane via Zoom. He spoke about the ANC elective conference at Nasrec in 2017 where Cyril Ramaphosa emerged as the victor.

The former president added that ANC was now a money organisation and money was playing the king maker at the Party’s elective conferences.

Zuma alleged that the ideological stance of ANC was being mysteriously bartered so that what emerged was the kind of ANC driven by those with money, thus undermining the integrity of the ANC and what it stands for.

President Cyril Ramaphosa won the Nasrec elective conference after beating Zuma’s ex wife Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma. He alleged that only those with money were now going to be leaders of ANC whilst those with no money were kicked aside.
