Gabadinho Mhango is a Malawian international footballer who is based in South Africa where he plays for Orlando Pirates as a striker.

Mhango revealed that his career started at school in 2010 when he was just seventeen years old. After seeing his talent, his uncle called him to Blantyre where he started training with Brave Warriors.

When he started training with the club, Mhango did not even have the boots, he wore takkies. His parents were both jobless and they could not pay for his fees thus they allowed him to pursue a career in football.

The 27 year old striker scored 33 goals in 35 matches while playing for Brave Warriors. This inspired Big Bullets who took him in 2012. While playing for the Malawi National Team in Rwanda, Mhango caught the eye of South African clubs.

Mhango joined South African side Bloemfontein Celtic in 2013 before being signed by Golden Arrows in 2015. In 2016 he moved to Bidvest Wits before joining Orlando Pirates in 2019.

Mhango has won several Absa Premiership man of the match accolades. He urged African parents not to force their children to go to school but to allow them to pursue their talents.
