Supreme Court Has Finally Declared Lerato Sengadi As HHP’s Wife

The supreme court has finally ruled in Lerato Sengadi’s favour. The court recognised her as the customary law wife of the late rapper HHP.

She posted on her Twitter page:
” I will not forget this day as long as I live, it is over. Justice has been served, to God be the glory. Thokoza Bo Gogo le bo Mkhulu, motho waka remember that promise we made a gazillion years ago, we both kept it , ke go rata until until,” Lerato wrote.

It’s been two years since HHP died but his customary wife Lerato Sengadi has been fighting tooth and nail for the right to be recognised as his lawful wife.

Following the rapper’s death his family banned, Lerato from the funeral and all other affairs pertaining to the life and death of HHP as they did not recognise her as the legal wife.

HHP had paid Lobola for Lerato and according to tradition and customary law that automatically makes that person your customary lawful partner even without any papers signed in the court of law.
