South African Football is in mourning after the passing on of Mme Mabel Khumalo, the mother of Kaizer Chiefs legend Doctor Khumalo.
The football fraternity was left reeling with shock following this sad moment of her passing. Mme Mabel was the wife of the late Kaizer Chiefs stalwart and founding member, Eliakim ‘Pro’ Khumalo.
Mabel Khumalo died at Netcare Union Hospital on Tuesday after battling with a long time illness.
Reports indicate that due to the deadly coronavirus pandemic, a limited number of the Khumalo family members will be allowed to attend the funeral.
Meanwhile Kaizer Chiefs has paid tribute to the Khumalo family for their great loss. They also sent their condolences to Doctor Khumalo.
