Gigi Lamayne have decided to respond to her calling of being a Sangoma . The 25year old talented singer has left most of her fans shocked.
She has posted pictures on her Instagram in which she was dressed as a Sangoma. She captioned the picture ‘thokoza’. ‘Thokoza Gogo’ in Zulu means “Greetings, Ancestors”.
Gigi will not be the first South African celebrity to heed the callings of the spiritual healing.
Actress Letoya Makhena, actress Lerato Mvelase and singer Phelo Bala are some of the celebrities who have embraced the spiritual calling and became sangomas.
Phelo Bala said in an interview that music was not his calling. He added that his calling was healing as a Sangoma.
Boity Thulo who is also a trained Sangoma is embracing her ancestral calling. She recently told her fans that she carries sniff in public.
