Caster Semenya has announced that she will now compete over 200 metres this year at the Tokyo Olympics.

She has already qualified for the games after she beat the required qualifying time of 23.80 seconds this weekend.

Semenya won the 200m race in 23:49 seconds at the Athletics Gauteng North meeting this weekend.

Semenya said switching to 200m is not an easy decision as she is used to running two laps but now has to adjust to. running half a lap.
