Shoppers at a Sasol garage in Protea Glen were caught off guard when socialite Cindy Makhathini’s car drove straight into the convenience store section over the weekend.
Videos of the incident, which quickly spread online, show the vehicle lodged inside the shop as stunned staff and customers looked on. Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported.
While the exact cause of the crash remains unclear, witnesses say Makhathini appeared shaken but unharmed. Social media was soon flooded with reactions, with many users posting under the caption “Mzansi is a movie”.
