Sibusiso Zitha, the boyfriend of Thembekile Charlotte Letlape, known as the Pastry Princess has appeared and confessed in court:

May 30, 2024: Thembekile Letlape was allegedly murdered by her boyfriend, Sibusiso Zitha, at his home in Fourways, Johannesburg. Her lifeless body was found there.

Following the murder, Sibusiso Zitha fled the scene but later handed himself over to the police on June 1, 2024. Police arrested two other people in connection to the case for defeating the ends of justice.

July 2024: Sibusiso Zitha pleaded guilty and was found guilty of the murder of Thembekile Letlape.

June 2024: Family and friends held a memorial service, and Thembekile was laid to rest at Fourways Memorial Park.
Testifying in court, Zitha said he and Thembekile had a fight about a sensitive topic involving his parents, after which he snapped and could not stop himself until he saw her body lying on the floor.
He clarifies that the fight was not about round , and mentions they had been chatting, talking, drinking, and having a good time before the argument. He also states that they had arguments before but usually resolved them by talking or walking away.
However, that night was different because everything accumulated and came up, leading to the tragic event. He apologizes and expresses difficulty finding the right words to explain.
