On August 11, 2025, Emtee went on Instagram Live to apologize to Mshini after his wife allegedly leaked his Instagram DMs, which included conversations with multiple women, including Mshini.
Maipelo Lentswe, known as @Sugababiie_on Instagram is also one of the women whose chats were leaked. She addressed the rumors, claiming her interactions with Emtee were not an affair, stating she asked for R7,000 to attend his events and alleging he claimed to be single. She also made accusations against Emtee’s wife, Nicole Chinsamy, regarding the leak.
