Kelly Khumalo paid R100 000 for Kelly Khumalo hit

The High Court in Pretoria has heard that singer Kelly Khumalo allegedly paid R100 000 to have her then lover and father of her child, Senzo Meyiwa killed.

This is contained in the confession statement by the first accused Muzi Sibiya which was read out in court on Friday by Colonel Moses Mbotho. Mbotho took down Sibiya’s confession at the Diepkloof Police station in May 2020.

Two of the five men told the police in their confession statements that they were paid R100 000. Bongani Ntazi told them that he received R45 000 while Muzi Sibiya received R30 000 for their roles in the murder. Meyiwa was shot at Khumalo’s Vosloorus home in 2014.
