Thabo Malema’s Wife to get justice after botched surgery
The wife of actor, Thabo Malema whose hysterectomy was botched by a gynecologist will finally get justice. This comes after the Economic Freedom Fighters Women’s League protested outside the offices of Health Professions Council of South Africa in Pretoria demanding that the doctor’s license be suspended.
The former Scandal actor’s wife Hlengiwe Mbambo was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2022 and was advised by Dr Kwaw Asante to induce menopause by removing her womb and ovaries.
Her complications arose when her ureter was mistakenly cut meaning her urine could not be passed down and was stuck in her kidneys. She later discovered that the assistant surgeon was not registered with HPCSA.
