Former Orlando Pirates captain Papi Khomane died in a car accident on the 25th of November 2023, along with his mother.
The 48 year old made his debut in football, in 1994 when he joined Jomo Cosmos before joining Orlando Pirates in 1998.
He retired from professional football in 2007 after playing for Pirates and the national football team (Bafana Bafana).
Khomane’s passing has plunged the football fraternity into mourning as his death follows that of Chigova.

On the 15th of November, former SuperSport United goalkeeper George Chigova lost his life due to heart complications.
