There was drama at Zoleka Mandela’s funeral service yesterday as family members started fighting for her body. Mandela was initially buried at the Mandela burial site in Fourways.
Her body was exhumed from the site where her grandmother Winnie Mandela, her mother Zindzi and her daughter Zenani are buried.
She was reportedly buried at a burial site which had been paid for by her ex-husband Thiery Bashala.
In her diary she listed people she did not wish to have at her funeral or near her body.
On the list was Bashala who is the father of her two children, some members of the Mandela and Madikizela families aswell as King Buyelekhaya Dalindyebo.
Zoleka Mandela, an activist, and author passed away on the 25th of September 2023 after a long battle with cancer.
