Iconic liberation heroine Winnie Mandela would have turned 87 years old on the 26th of September 2023. To honour her, the City of Johannesburg renamed William Nicole Drive to Winnie Mandela Drive.
Rasta the Artist presented his portraits of Winnie Mandela during the renaming ceremony on Tuesday.
He also made portraits of Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi who passed away two weeks ago. Buthelezi was the Zulu Traditional Prime Minister and founder and President Emeritus of the Inkatha Freedom Party.
