The body of late Zulu Traditional Prime Minister Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi will be transported from a mortuary in Ulundi to his hometown Mhlabathini today.
Mangosuthu who was also the founder and President Emeritus of the Inkatha Freedom Party will be laid to rest tomorrow.
The Buthelezi family will be accompanied by Amabutho and other Zulu regiments as per the Zulu Traditional culture and customs.
Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi passed away on the 9th of September 2023 at the age of 95. He served under King Cyprian Bhekuzulu KaSolomon, King Goodwill Zwelithini kaBhekuzulu and King Misuzulu KaZwelithini.
He played a pivotal role in the installation of Misuzulu as the Zulu Monarch following the passing of King Zwelithini KaBhekuzulu and Queen Mantfombi Dlamini Zulu.
Dignitaries across South Africa, Africa and beyond are expected to attend the funeral service.
