The Traditional Prime Minister of the Zulu Monarch and Nation Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi has passed away at the age of 95.
Mangosuthu was the founder and President Emeritus of the Inkatha Freedom Party. Buthelezi was in hospital in the past few weeks. He spent some time in the intensive care unit.
His sudden passing comes two weeks after he celebrated his 95th birthday. He served as Minister of Home Affairs from 1994 to 2004.
Buthelezi served under King Cyprian Bhekuzulu KaSolomon, King Goodwill Zwelithini kaBhekuzulu and King Misuzulu KaZwelithini.
