Duduzane Zuma Speaks after His Father’s Jail Sentence Got Cancelled

The Minister of Justice and Correctional Services, Honourable Ronald Lamola yesterday, granted former President Jacob Zuma a remission to his 15-months jail sentence of 2021.

The former head of state is now a free man. Duduzane Zuma took to his Twitter page to celebrate the cancellation of his father’s sentence.

Zuma was sentenced to 15 months imprisonment by the Constitutional Court for contempt of Court.

He had failed to comply with the ruling compelling him to appear before the Zondo Commission.

Lamola said that Zuma was one of the thousands of inmates who have benefitted from remissions of sentences as his department seeks to alleviate overcrowding in South African prisons.
