On Friday the 28th of July 2023, Colonel Lambertus Steyn became the 4th witness to testify in the ongoing Senzo Meyiwa murder trial.
He told the North Gauteng High Court in Pretoria that accused 5, Fisokuhle Ntuli, called songstress Kelly Khumalo atleast on two occasions in 2014.
Steyn told the Court that the first call lasted close to two minutes and the other one lasted one -and -a half minutes.
The colonel analysed the cellphone data, for both incoming and outgoing calls and messages from phones.
The accused also made a call to Senzo Meyiwa’s wife Mandisa soon after the passing of Meyiwa.
The call might have been made to frame Mandisa or otherwise.
Five men are currently appearing in court for the murder of the late Bafana Bafana and Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Senzo Meyiwa.
Meyiwa was shot and killed at his then girlfriend Kelly Khumalo’s mother’s house in Vosloorus. The shooting took place in October 2014.
