The Senzo Meyiwa murder trial resumed this week at the Pretoria High Court nine years after the death of the Bafana Bafana and Orlando Pirates goalkeeper.

The trial started afresh with a new judge, Judge Ratha Mokgoatleheng will be replacing Judge Tshifhiwa Maumela who was suspended by President Cyril Ramaphosa for not concluding cases in time.

Senzo Meyiwa was shot dead in October 2014, at his then girlfriend Kelly Khumalo’s mother’s house in Vosloorus.

Kelly Khumalo’s mother, Longwe Twala, Kelly Khumalo, and Zandile Khumalo were present during the shooting.
