New Born Babies Kept in Cardboard Boxes at Mahikeng Hospital

Pictures showing babies in cardboard boxes went viral after they were posted on social media.

The babies were not placed in cribs or incubators where new born babies are placed. The babies were born at Mahikeng Hospital in the North West Province.

Apparently it has not been reported if there is a shortage of cribs to put new born babies at the hospital.

The hospital management has since come under fire following the incident. The department of health in the North West Province is investigating the incident.
