The South African government has intervened to seek the release of two Marumo Galants Officials who are being held hostage in Lybia.

The Sowetan newspaper reports that Lybia Hotel owner, Dr Ali Elzargha, claims that Marumo Galants owner, Abram Sello, left the two officials in Lybia as security until he settled the club’s bill of R700 000.

Dr Elzargha claims that after he arrived in South Africa, Sello started being evasive and has not paid the bill for the two staff members who are still stuck in Lybia since two weeks ago.

The South African government’s representative, Fadl Nacerodien, will meet Lybian Ambassador to SA Abdel-Qader AL Nazif to demand that the Lybian government orders Dr Elzargha to release the two officials.
