Sithulile Siyabonga Nhlanhlayethu Zulu aged 22 appeared in the Durban Magistrates’ Court in connection with the multi-vehicle accident that occurred on Monday 06 March 2023.
The accident occurred on the M41 (east-bound) highway near Umhlanga.
Truck driver, Zulu is charged with reckless and negligent driving and failure to comply with the duties of a driver following an accident.
He lost control of his truck crashed into more than 45 vehicles leaving 16 people injured.

The matter was remanded to 15 March 2023 for bail information.
