Former Sundowns soccer star, Sipho Nunens has hit hard times.

Nunens told soccerladuma that he used to earn R175 000 a month at Sundowns and drove a Mini Cooper, BMW 645i and a BMW 320i.

Sipho now suffers seizures after he was involved in a car accident during his peak playing days.

Nunes said he did not have his own house at the time as he lived at the Midrand hotel which was owned by his agent.

Nunens blames his heavy partying for the sad financial situation that he is facing.

He admitted that he drank too much and wasted his money on women.

However, he is grateful that he bough a house for his parents in Caletonville, the same house where he lives now with his parents.

He also assisted his three sisters to study nursing and they are now assisting him with food.

He also admitted that no one wants to give him cash as he drinks away any money that he is given.

One of his biggest regrets is that when the late Gift Leremi died, he has been drinking with him in Soshanguve.
